Botox in Seoul starts around ₩19,000 ($14) per area for Korean brands and ₩59,000 ($45) for imported ones in 2026. Here's why it's so cheap, which brands you'll see, jaw and trapezius prices, and the Korean to ask which product they use.
Botox (보톡스, bo-tok-seu) is the cheapest "Seoul clinic" treatment most visitors try, and the prices really are low. The catch is that a Korean price list usually doesn't say which product you're getting unless you ask.
Here's what botox costs in Korea in 2026, why it's so cheap, the Korean and imported brands you'll see, and the Korean that helps. This is a research summary, not medical advice.

How to read this: "1 area" means one spot, like the forehead or between the eyebrows. The clinic notes a wrinkle area usually takes about 4 to 20 units. These are starting prices at one clinic. Other clinics will differ, but the gap between Korean and imported brands is typical.
Why is botox so cheap in Korea?
Competition. Korea has many domestic botulinum toxin makers, and a Korean business newspaper reported in February 2026 that the price clinics pay for a 100-unit vial has fallen from ₩40,000 to ₩50,000 to just over ₩10,000 as new brands entered the market. On price lists you'll see 국산 (guk-san, Korean-made) and 수입 (su-ip, imported). Imported brands cost more. Whether that's worth it is a question for the doctor, but you should always know which one you're getting.
How long does it take, and how long does it last?
Botox usually starts working 1 to 3 days after the injection, and the effect lasts about 3 months or longer. (Mayo Clinic) So if you want the result for photos on your trip, get it done early in your stay.
Before you book
- No tax refund. The VAT refund for foreigners on cosmetic and skin procedures ended on December 31, 2025. (Korea Biomedical Review)
- Compare by brand and units, not just "per area".
- Dermatology clinic or not? A sign saying OO피부과의원 is run by a certified dermatologist, while OO의원 may not be. More in my skin clinic guide.
- Watch the packages. Clinics love to add a laser or a skin booster. If you only came for botox, it's fine to say no.

Is Korean botox the same as Botox?
